THE HISTORY

Since the 1980s, Lorenzo Traversi has entered the world of fabric trade, dealing primarily with products manufactured in Prato until he decided to differentiate himself from the local market by offering an alternative to the classic “carded” fabric of Prato.

Thus, together with his new partner Francesco Scatolini, he shifted his focus to Northern Italy, specifically Biella, seeking and purchasing higher quality fabrics that symbolise Made in Italy in the world, for both men's and women's garments.

From the work and experience developed over the years, we arrive at the birth of Tex House s.r.l. in 1992, based in Prato, which also saw the involvement of his son Luigi Traversi, the current manager of the company who has contributed to expanding the commercial reach over the years.

This journey has led to a wide range of fabrics sourced from the largest wool mills in Biella and Prato, as well as from the most important Italian manufacturers where garments for major national and international brands are produced.

A young company that has expanded its scope over the years, adding silk and cotton fabrics to the wool (which has been, is, and will always be the company’s flagship product).



We reach January 2016, the year the company relocated from the centre of Prato to its current premises in the industrial area of Montemurlo, in the province of Prato, which are more modern and functional.

This created the ideal headquarters from which to manage operations, equipped with ample parking, a sample room, and increasingly rigorous fabric control.

The company symbolises a cohesive teamwork approach, which, thanks to the capabilities of its staff, has succeeded over the years in making TEX HOUSE a flagbearer for Made in Italy abroad.

For several years, in fact, we have exported products to major countries in Eastern Europe, Central Europe, Asia, and Australia, receiving wide acclaim from our clients.

We have always catered to professionals in the textile sector: businesses, wholesalers, manufacturers, and shops.

It is important to clarify that this is not an e-commerce site, but we offer an innovative service as an interface between the company and the customer to facilitate purchases for foreign clients who have never collaborated with us and, for logistical reasons, cannot come to buy directly at our headquarters. We also offer the possibility of making secure digital payments through NEXI.
